My family attended church until I was 6 or 7 years old. My parents chose to leave the church and we never regularly attended another church. Growing up my mom talked about Jesus here and there but faith was not a central part of my childhood. That I can recall, the only time I remember praying was with my grandparents during holidays. I went through High School and College saying I was a believer, but living a worldly life.

It wasn’t until I moved home from college and began attending Redeemer Church with my mom that I was saved. With the help of “Christianity Explored” and “The Chuck Studies,” I came to know Christ. My husband and I were not believers when we got engaged. I became a Christian several months later and he was a few months behind that. Side note – ask us about our testimony in walking through being unequally yoked and marriage.

We were married in May of 2017 and have two children now, Alayna and Daton. I am a stay at home mom and work part time for Redeemer Church. I also serve as the Children’s Ministry Director. I love to teach their little minds about Jesus and be a small part of what I pray is their walk with Christ.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Romans 5:1-5

I am a work in progress, saved by the grace of God, and continually striving to know Christ more.
